Client Liaison Agent and Representative

Ski Resort Representative

Whilst Sierra Essence and British Ski Center operate as two individual fiscal companies, we are basically two complementing sides of the same business dedicated simply to the organising of ski holidays to Sierra Nevada.

Our principal forte lies in our personal approach to our clients’ holiday arrangements by providing real people with live in-resort knowledge to not only offer them the best bespoke package possible but also being available for support during their stay.

For this to happen, we employ staff to work from our resort office who will be directly involved in attending to the needs of our clients from both Sierra Essence and British Ski Center.

The position will be based in the ski resort for most of the duration of the season (typically, early/mid-December to mid-April).

Basic duties across both company profiles are:

Ski School Administrations:
* Arranging ski/snowboard lessons.
* Taking payments and liaising between clients and their instructors.
* Assisting clients in the rental hire shop to acquire their equipment

Sierra Essence Holiday Representative:
* Liaising with our central reservations office to ensure all accommodation bookings are correctly reserved with their respective accommodation providers.
* Preparation and issuing of all prebooked lift passes.
* Customer attention support as required for our clients during their stay

We are small business operating initially as a kind of “virtual” entity whereby our initial contact with our clients is via our website and subsequently email/telephone communications. The importance of this position is that it provides the physical and tangible side of our service. You will be the “face” of the business, something which has become increasingly rare in the current world of online operations. Our physical presence enhances our excellent customer service levels provided by our reservations agents to generate a more personalised holiday experience for our clients.

If you are someone with few ties, confident to use your own initiative, flexible of mind, looking for some Spanish culture, independent but also happy to work in a small team environment, keen to try your hand at learning Spanish whilst also holding experience in communicating with customers, this job could be for you!

You must be organised and comfortable working side by side with other members of our team to ensure a smooth operation to the benefit of our clients during their stay. By already having some working knowledge of the Spanish language, this will set you in good stead as you will be dealing with local suppliers and workers on a day-to-day basis.

The job requires a structured, organised, and pro-active mind to be able to plan well in advance and ensure that maximum service is given to our clients. Seasonal work in the tourism industry generally means you should be as much prepared for intensely busy periods as intensely quiet periods. This requires you to be flexible in terms of your working structure, hours, duties etc. in order to keep everything under control.

The position will give you a first-hand insight into the workings of a ski resort, introduce you to many new and interesting people, help boost your Spanish language skills, open opportunities to enjoy the snow and the slopes and above all else gain some real life-experience points!

Our recruiting period generally starts as of mid-October. This job outline does not necessarily mean we currently have any positions available. Full details of the job will be provided upon our offer of employment.
