The Slalom apartment block is set in a privileged location in the mid-zone of the ski village. At about 100m away from the building, the “Maribel” piste runs close by offering almost “door-to-door” skiing for intermediates confident on blue graded slopes. For lower level skiers & boarders, the mid-stop of the “Parador” chairlift is just a couple of minutes’ walk away, also about 100m down the road from the apartment building. This chairlift drops down to the central squares where the main gondolas are located for access to the main ski area.
This apartment, renovated in 2019, offers a truly homely setting for up to 5 people. Located on the first floor with views out towards the slopes, the apartment offers two bedrooms, a spacious bathroom with shower, a compact & well equipped kitchenette and a comfortable open plan living area split into two areas for dining and lounging.
On entry to the apartment, there is a small nook into which skis & boards may be stored without traipsing them throughout the apartment.
Opposite the entrance door is the master bedroom with a 150cm double bed and a firm bagged-spring mattress offering excellent ergonomic sleeping comfort. The bedroom has its own wardrobe.
The kitchen opens up to the right upon entry to the apartment and is equipped with a 3-ring induction hob, microwave oven/grill, a 160cm high fridge-freezer, a dishwasher, Nespresso coffee maker, kettle, toaster and plenty of crockery/cutlery for 5 occupants.
The kitchen leads out in an open plan fashion to the dining & lounge area. The dining area is conveniently located next to the kitchen for ease of transferring dishes of food etc..
The lounge is bright and homely. There is a 43 inch smart-TV with Netflix, YouTube and other such applications including USB and HDMI ports for attaching external consoles and drives. There are also traditional board games provided to offer a more classic family entertainment source.
The roomy bathroom also leads off opposite the kitchen. It has a spacious shower cubicle and a modern 100 litre hot water tank provides ample water for a few consecutive showers. A heated towel rail not only keeps the bathroom at a comfortable temperature but also dries out your towels efficiently from one day to the next.
The bright & spacious second bedroom leads off from the main living area and has a solid 90 x 200cms pine bunk bed (with safety rail on the top bunk) plus an additional spare bed available to sleep a third person. A large chest of drawers offers practical storage space for the occupants. Each bunk has its own independent night/reading light.
The apartment comes with free WIFI.
With the exception of the kitchen and bathroom, the whole apartment is fitted with parquet wooden flooring. In addition to this, the apartment has good natural light sources lending to an overall feel of warmth & comfort within.
Efficient and cost effective electric radiators are installed throughout the apartment to ensure maximum thermal comfort.
Parking options are available in nearby apartment buildings although the Slalom apartment block does have a small loading area directly outside its main entrance.
For larger parties or families travelling together, this apartment can be ideally combined with an equally smart 2 bedroom apartment, Slalom B-E, which is directly opposite on the same floor.
