The only restriction now in place for access to the ski resort will be the closure of the A-395 road once the Plaza de Andalucia and Los Peñones carparks are at full capacity.
Access to the resort is made from the secondary road leading to the so-called “Telefónica” building at the mid-zone of the ski village. The road through the village has been cleared now to allow for two-way traffic both up and down. Allow at least half an hour from the base of the ski village to reach the main underground carpark.
Works have commenced on repairing the subsidence on the main lower access road although it is uncertain how long this will take.
Tireless work on the lift and piste reparation and preparation has resulted in over 65kms of slopes expected for tomorrow and plenty more in the Loma del Dilar area once the Monachil lift has been fully re-serviced. The intention will be to open the Laguna although there is significant ice cover there for now making it non-viable currently from a safety perspective.
